On Tuesday, prison officials announced that gangster Tillu Tajpuriya, an accused in the Delhi court gunfire case involving the Rohini court, was allegedly killed by rival gang members in Tihar jail.
According to prison officials, Tillu Tajpuriya was rushed to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi, where he was pronounced deceased.
“This morning at approximately 7:00 a.m., DDU Hospital reported that two pre-trial detainees were carried to the hospital from Tihar Jail. One of them, Sunil a.k.a. Tilu, was rendered incapacitated. He was proclaimed dead afterward. Rohit is undergoing treatment and is no longer in peril, according to Delhi Police’s Additional DCP for the West District, Akshat Kaushal.
According to the police, Yogesh Tunda, a prisoner housed in Jail No. 8, and members of a rival gang attacked Tillu, who was housed in Jail No. 9, with an iron grill.
“Yogesh alias Tunda and Deepak alias Teetar attacked Tillu Tajpuriya by destroying the iron grills that separated the two gangs within the same ward,” the official explained.
An investigation into the incident is continuing.
During a shootout on September 24, 2012, two assailants shot and murdered Jitendra Gogi in Rohini Court No. 207.
According to sources, (shooters) Umang and Jagdeep obtained weapons from a criminal named Rakesh Tajpuria in Murthal a day prior to the shooting in Rohini in September of last year.

“The following day, Umang and Jagdeep stole the attire of attorneys from a person near AIIMS. Meanwhile, Tillu was in constant contact with both of them via WhatsApp conversations from prison, according to sources.
