Genocide, GST, Godhra: Mamata Banerjee’s All-Out Attack On BJP

Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP of hiring protesters to show her black flags during one of her international tours and said that the party “paid them in dollars and claimed genocide happened in Bengal”.

On the second day of the dharna organized by her party, the All India Trinamool Congress, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated from the stage that the BJP is dismantling the federal structure and depriving all non-BJP states. She also accused her political rival of stealing “our GST money” from Bengal.

They are dismantling the federal government. They are depriving every state outside of the BJP. They are stealing our GST funds. They will no longer pay for 100 days of labor. They refer to us as anti-nationalists. Only they are nationalists, while we are not. That is what they believe. But we will prevail,” declared Mamata Banerjee.

Mamata Banerjee accused the saffron party of acting like “feudal lords” and forbidding news networks from broadcasting the protests, stating, “They (the BJP) have requested all news networks to blackout our dharna. The fourth pillar of democracy is the media. Our democracy has been annihilated by the BJP.”

“You sold LIC for Adani ‘Nandlal’. If you speak against the BJP, you will be expelled from the House. If you criticize them, they will send the ED and the CBI after you. What a trustworthy party they are! They behave as if they were feudal rulers.”

Mamata Banerjee criticized the BJP for “hiring” demonstrators to display black flags during one of her international tours, claiming that the party “paid them in dollars and claimed genocide occurred in Bengal.”

“Do you comprehend the definition of genocide? It took place in Godhra. It was the case with Bilkis Bano. It occurred throughout the NRC and CAA (protests). It is exactly what transpired in Delhi in 2020 (during the riots),” the chief minister stated.
