As the series was tied 1-1 going into the third ODI at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, it was expected to be an exciting contest. The match was exciting, going down to the wire before terminating in a tie. The series was split between the two teams, but certain events in the game took the spotlight.
During the second innings, Harmanpreet Kaur was given LBW while attempting to sweep a fullish delivery. Nevertheless, the Indian commander disagreed with the umpire’s decision. She expressed her anger by smashing the wickets with her bat. During her exit from the stadium, the 34-year-old was overheard yelling at the umpire, and during the post-match awards ceremony, she called the umpiring ‘ridiculous’.
According to a report from Cricbuzz, it appears that the experienced player will be in trouble for her actions in the third ODI. According to the report, match official Akhtar Ahmed deemed Kaur’s actions to be a Level 2 offence. The veteran cricketer will be fined 75% of her match fee and given three demerit points for her infraction.
“She will be fined 50 percent of her match fee for the on-field incident (smashing the wicket), and 25 percent of her match fee for the way she conducted herself during the presentation ceremony,” he said.
Harmanpreet Kaur will receive three demerit points, two for her on-field actions following her dismissal and one for her public criticism of the quality of the umpiring during the presentation ceremony.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana was pleased with her squad’s ability to share the series with one of the world’s finest teams. However, when questioned about Harmanpreet Kaur’s remarks about the quality of umpiring, the 25-year-old responded that her opponent needed to demonstrate better manners.
“This is entirely her (Harmanpreet’s) issue. I have no connection to it. “As a player, she could have exhibited better manners,” Sultana stated at the press conference following the third match.
After electing to bat first, Bangladesh amassed 225/4 runs. In the final phases of the match, India’s chase faltered and they were forced to settle for a tie.
