At an event to be conducted in Belagavi, Karnataka, on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the 13th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM-KISAN) worth Rs 16,800 crore for over eight crore eligible farmers.
With this, it is anticipated that the total quantity transferred to beneficiaries will exceed Rs 2.30 lakh crore.
The announcement of the thirteenth installment of the PM-KISAN arrives four months after the publication of the twelfth installment in October 2022. In May 2022, the eleventh installment was released. Under the PM-KISAN programme, eligible cultivators receive Rs. 2,000 every four months, or Rs. Each year, the funds are provided in three installments: April-July, August-November, and December-March. The funds are transmitted directly to the bank accounts of the recipients.
The programme was introduced in February 2019, but implementation began in December 2018.

Modi also dedicated the renovated Belagavi Railway Station edifice to the nation at the Belgavi event on Monday. The railway station was renovated at a cost of approximately Rs 190 crore to provide passengers with world-class amenities.
The Prime Minister also dedicated the Londa-Belagavi-Ghataprabha segment rail line duplication project in Belagavi to the nation.
According to an official release, this project, developed at a cost of approximately Rs 930 crore, will increase line capacity along the congested Mumbai-Pune-Hubballi-Bangalore railway line, thereby promoting trade, commerce, and economic activities in the region.
Modi also set the foundation stone for six multi-village scheme projects under the Centre’s Jal Jeevan Mission in Belagavi. These projects will be developed at a total cost of approximately Rs 1,585 crore and will benefit approximately 8.8 lakh people residing in over 315 villages.
