A man in Hyderabad released a serpent into the municipal corporation office after officials ignored his request for assistance. Deccan Chronicle reported that Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials failed to act when a serpent entered the home of Sampath Kumar in the Alwal neighbourhood during heavy rains and flooding.
According to the report, Kumar lashed out at the municipal authorities, claiming that they never resolved matters on time and that several sanitation issues required immediate attention.
After waiting for over six hours for a response, Kumar decided to lodge his protest by leaving the snake on the table of an official on Tuesday.
A video of the incident showed the snake crawling on a table at the GHMC office.

As floodwaters recede, the number of serpent sightings in Delhi has increased. In all flood-affected districts, a swift response team has been assigned to address snake-related concerns. There have been numerous reports of snake sightings in residential areas, posing a threat to residents.
When their natural habitats are infiltrated by flood or rainfall, snakes and other reptiles seek out dry areas, according to Suneesh Buxy, Delhi’s chief wildlife warden. While the majority of snakes encountered have been nonvenomous, cobras and kraits have also been discovered.
