India defeated Sri Lanka by 317 runs in the third ODI played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. This is the biggest win in ODI history by a margin of runs. At the same time, the previous record of the Indian team was a 257-run win, which they achieved against Bermuda in 2007. Virat Kohli, who scored a brilliant century, was declared the player of the match. In this series, he scored 283 runs in three matches with the help of two centuries. Batting first, India scored 390 runs in 50 overs losing five wickets. Shubman Gill played 116 runs and Virat Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 166 runs. Shubman-Rohit gave a great start

Kohli scored a brilliant century
After this, Kohli took over the innings of Team India along with Shreyas Iyer. Both played a partnership of 108 runs in 71 balls for the third wicket. Meanwhile, Kohli scored a century in 85 balls. This was the 46th century of his ODI career. Kohli is now only three centuries behind Sachin Tendulkar in terms of most hundreds in ODIs. Sachin holds the record for most centuries in this format. He had scored 49 centuries. This was Kohli’s 74th international century. In this case also he is just behind Sachin.
Sachin has 100 international centuries to his name. At the same time, it was the second century of this series. Kohli scored 113 runs in the first ODI of the series. This was his third century in the last four ODI innings. Before this series, Kohli had also scored 113 runs in the last ODI against Bangladesh. After scoring the century, Kohli became more aggressive. He thrashed the Sri Lankan bowlers fiercely. Team India got a third blow in the form of Shreyas. He got out after scoring 38 runs in 32 balls. Rahul and Suryakumar could not do anything special

Siraj wreaked havoc
