IND vs ENG U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Final: In the final of the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup, India won the tournament by defeating England by seven wickets. Team India has created history by winning the first edition of this World Cup. Batting first, England had set a target of 69 runs in front of India and Team India achieved it by losing three wickets.

India has won the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. In the final match, Team India defeated England by seven wickets. In this match, England scored 68 runs while batting first. Team India achieved this easy target by losing three wickets. With this, India won the first Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup. The Indian women’s team has been successful in winning any ICC tournament for the first time.
What happened in the first innings?
Batting first after losing the toss, England got off to a bad start. Titas Sadhu sent Liberty Heap to the pavilion in the fourth ball of the match. She could not even open her account. Sadhu took the catch of Liberty on his own ball. After this captain Grace and Fiona Holland took England’s innings forward, but in the fourth over, Archana Devi dismissed both of them and put England on the back foot. Grace was dismissed for four and Holland scored 10 runs.

After losing three wickets for 16 runs, the England team came under pressure and the Indian bowlers took advantage of this and took wickets at regular intervals. England’s fourth wicket fell on the score of 22 runs. Titas Sadhu clean bowled Seren. After this, Charis Pavle and McDonald shared a 17-run partnership. With Pavle out, half of the England team returned to the pavilion. After this, the Indian bowlers took wickets at regular intervals and bundled out the England team for 68 runs.

McDonald scored the maximum 19 runs for England. At the same time, Alexa Stonehouse and Sophia played innings of 11 runs. Holland also scored 10 runs. Apart from these four, none of the England batsmen could touch double figures. Titas Sadhu, Archana Devi and Parshvi Chopra took two wickets each for India. Whereas, Mannat Kashyap, Shefali Verma and Sonam Yadav got one wicket each.
India Recovered from bad start
Team India, packed with star players like Shefali Verma, Richa Ghosh and Shweta Sehrawat, had a very easy target of 69 runs, but the England bowlers started brilliantly. Captain Shefali was dismissed for 15 runs in the third over of the Indian innings. Shweta Sehrawat was also dismissed after scoring five runs in the very next over. Within 20 runs, India had lost the wickets of two of its most important batsmen. Shweta is the highest run-scorer in this tournament, while Shefali is third.
The Indian team was under pressure after the fall of two quick wickets, but the pair of Saumya Tiwary and Gongdi Trisha stitched a fine partnership. Both of them shared a 46-run partnership for the third wicket. However, Gongadi Trisha got out just before India’s victory. He scored 24 runs in 29 balls. In the end Soumya Tiwari finished the match. He scored an unbeaten 24 off 37 balls. Hannah Baker, Grace Scrivens and Alexa Stonehouse took one wicket each for England.
