India saw a decrease in daily Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, with 7,633 new infections in the last 24 hours bringing the total to 44,834,859. On Monday, a total of 9,111 cases were documented, while on Sunday, 10,093 infections were recorded. Currently, there are 61,233 active cases in the country, which represents 0.13 percent of all infections.
The number of persons who have recovered from the disease increased to 44,242,474, with a 98.68 percent recovery rate.
According to data from the union health ministry, the death toll in the country rose to 53,11,52 in the last 24 hours, with 11 deaths reported in Delhi, one each in Haryana, Karnataka, and Punjab, and four in Kerala.
According to the website of the ministry of health, nearly 2,111,029 coronavirus tests were conducted in the previous twenty-four hours.
