India to tour Ireland for three T20Is after West Indies tour

As per an ICC release, the series between India and Ireland will begin on August 18 and be wrapped up by August 23.

After their tour of the West Indies, India is scheduled to play three T20I matches in Ireland. In August, it was disclosed that both sides will face each other. According to a press release from the International Cricket Council (ICC), the series between India and Ireland will commence on August 18 and conclude on August 23.

It is also important to note that Team India will face the West Indies in a multi-format series beginning on July 12 prior to this series. Both teams will compete in two Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20Is to conclude the series.

The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has not yet confirmed the dates for India’s tour of Ireland, but an ICC press release indicates that the series will be played in Malahide in late August. In June of 2022, India last confronted Ireland in a T20I series. According to Cricket Ireland, the series will take place as follows:

Match Number and DateVenue Time (IST)

1st T20I August 18 Malahide3 PM

2nd T20I August 20 Malahide3 PM

3rd T20I August 23 Malahide3 PM

Due to the absence of many prominent players who were competing against England in the Test series, Hardik Pandya led the team. In their previous series, India defeated Ireland by a score of 2-0; it will be intriguing to see if the Men in Blue can repeat that performance in August.

Sincere appreciation to the BCCI: Warren Deutrom is Cricket Ireland’s chief executive officer. Prior to the series, Warren Deutrom, the Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland, thanked the BCCI for touring Ireland and expressed his excitement about confronting the Indian team.

“We’re delighted to welcome India Men back to Ireland for the second time in a year,” Warren Deutrom was quoted as saying by IndiaToday. “We saw two sold-out matches in 2022, so having a three-match series this year should allow even more fans to experience what is always a memorable occasion.”

“Our sincere thanks to the BCCI, first, for their continued inclusion of Ireland in the Indian team’s hectic schedule, and second, for working with us to ensure as fan-friendly a schedule as possible – having matches on a Friday and Sunday will hopefully increase fan availability,” he added.
