India Women’s Tour of Bangladesh 2023: Schedule,Squad and Live streaming details

India women will play three T20I and ODI series against Bangladesh Women with first T20I match on July 9.

After captaining distinct teams in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL), Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana will team up for India’s T20I and ODI series against Bangladesh. This will be the Indian team’s first match since losing to Australia in the T20 World Cup semifinals in February.

Prior to the start of the aforementioned World Cup, India and Bangladesh played in a warm-up match. Richa Ghosh scored 91 not out off 56 balls, and Jemimah Rodrigues contributed 41 off 27 deliveries, as India posted 183/5 in their 20 overs.

Bangladesh responded with a score of 131/8 and lost by 52 runs. In terms of ODIs, Bangladesh’s most recent match against India occurred in the 2022 ODI World Cup. In this instance, India prevailed by 110 runs after scoring 229/7 in 50 overs.

India would be the overwhelming favorite to win both the T20I and ODI series to begin with. However, Bangladesh would hope to utilize their knowledge of domestic conditions to their advantage. Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) will host all six matches.

Pacer Renuka Singh, wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh, and spinner Radha Yadav are notable names that are absent from India’s squads for the ODIs and T20Is. Anusha Bareddy and Rashi Kanojiya have received their first selections for both formats.

Another athlete to receive his first call-up is Minnu Mani (only T20 Internationals). In contrast, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named a preliminary squad for the home series. Interestingly, veteran athletes such as Jahanara Alam and Rumana Ahmed were not selected for the team. Instead, promising youth players such as Shorna Akter, Marufa Akter, and Rabeya Khan have been recruited with an eye toward the future.
