On Monday, a 34-year-old Indian climber Anurag Malu missing from Mt. Annapurna in Nepal, according to a representative of the expedition’s organizers.
Anurag Malu, a resident of Kishangadh, Rajasthan, went missing while descending from Camp III of Mt. Annapurna on Monday morning, according to Mingma Sherpa, chairman of Seven Summit Treks, the company that organized the trekking expedition.
According to the media, Anurag Malu is on a mission to ascend all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters and seven summits to raise awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
“Shortly after indian climber anurag Malu went missing, we initiated an exhaustive search for him. “However, as of this evening, we were unable to locate him,” Sherpa said.
“We will continue the search on Tuesday,” he continued.
Malu received the REX KaramVeer Chakra and became the Indian Antarctic Youth Ambassador for 2041, according to local media reports.

At 8,091 meters above sea level, Annapurna is the tenth-highest mountain in the globe.
