Indian Cricketer’s Get Warning After Virat Kohli’s Instagram Story

The players were asked not to post their yo-yo test scores which come under confidential information, on social media platforms.

Instagram story by Virat Kohli, in which he disclosed his yo-yo fitness test score, has angered the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Several hours after Kohli’s Instagram story went viral, the Indian team management reportedly devised a stringent policy for all Indian cricketers.

The participants were instructed not to share their yo-yo test results, which constitute confidential information, on social media sites. The instruction originated from BCCI’s upper administration, according to The Indian Express.

According to the report, all cricketers present at a fitness and preparation camp in Alur, Bengaluru, prior to the Asia Cup were given the directive “verbally.”

BCCI reacted almost immediately to the public update, with which it was not at all delighted. They reminded the participants that disclosing such sensitive information on public platforms could constitute a “breach of contract.”

“Players have been instructed verbally to refrain from posting any confidential information on social media.” A BCCI official was quoted in the report as saying, “They can post pictures while training, but posting a score constitutes a breach of contract.”
