This Morning all make the same joke when “ageless” Richard Marx appears.
As “ageless” Richard Marx appeared on this morning’s episode of This Morning, viewers of the programme unanimously shared the same joke (February 2). Richard, 59 years old, is a great American singer-songwriter of pop rock, having sold 30 million albums worldwide. Right Here Waiting, Front Row Seat, and Hazard are among of his most famous songs.
And as the legendary musician joined hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, several fans began to make the same joke. On Twitter, viewers began to inquire, “What happened to Mary?” in reference to his 1991 single, Hazard. According to the song’s lyrics, something evil occurred to a girl named Mary.
After years of the song’s release, fans are still desperate to know what transpired. “What DID happen to Mary, Richard? #ThisMorning”, wrote one viewer, while another added, “Still have no idea what happened to Mary #ThisMorning.””
“Oh, it’s Richard Marx! Please inquire as to who murdered Mary in the song Hazard “, a third added. “But what happened to Mary?” jested a second participant. Another posted a clip with the words “Well, we’re waiting!” to their comment.

Another viewer made a similar forecast, writing: “He abandoned Mary beside the river, leaving her safe and sound. But residents had a contrary view “whereas another appeared happy to see Richard on the ITV morning show. They tweeted, “Love @richardmarx, what a legend!”
The song’s lyrics are as follows: “Nobody understood my feelings for Mary. No one cared about her until the night she went walking alone. And never returned. The following morning, a man with a badge arrived at the door. I was immediately engulfed by a thousand fingers. Directly pointed at me.”
They proceed: “I swore I abandoned her by the river. I swore I left her in good health. I must make my way to the river. And abandon this old town in Nebraska” Richard has maintained Mary’s fate as a complete mystery, so music enthusiasts shouldn’t expect an answer to their inquiry any time soon.
