A video of television debate panelist Shoaib Jamai being heckled and then asked to exit the program has gone viral, eliciting responses from a number of well-known television debate panelists and political leaders. Sharing the ubiquitous video, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) wrote, “Indian news channels provide superior entertainment to OTT platforms.” Shehzad Poonawalla, national spokesman for the BJP, stated that he would not participate in any news channel debate in which Shoaib Jamai was also a panelist. “For some time, this man has violated all boundaries of civility and decorum. While I cannot control which television network invites him, I will not participate in any television debate with him,” Poonawalla said.

Co-panelists Subuhi Khan and Shoaib Jamai could be seen engaging in a physical altercation in one of the viral videos, after which Jamai was asked to exit the show.
I can see #ArrestShoaibJamai trending for a very long time
For sometime now this man has been crossing all limits of civility & decency
While I cannot control which TV channel calls him but I will not be appearing with this man on any tv debate
If he is invited- I will NOT…

The July 7 release of the Sanjay Puran Singh-directed film ’72 Hoorain’ was the subject of the television discussion. In a lengthy Twitter post, Shoaib Jamai described the assault and said it was unfortunate and that he was verbally abused by the co-panelist, but he did not wish to exaggerate the situation.
