The actor went to a fan screening of Creed III on Thursday, and while he was there, he saw a former colleague who had bullied him when he was younger getting ready to interview him on the red carpet. As the host of The Morning Hustle, Lore’l, approached the actor for an interview, she mentioned that they go “all the way back to Chad Science [Academy] in Newark.” The actor responded by saying, “Oh yeah, I was the corny child, right?”

During the course of the conversation, Lore’l admitted that she had teased the actor in the past about the fact that he has the same name as the legendary NBA player Michael Jordan.

“We were classmates at Chad Science Academy in Newark, and if I’m being completely honest with you, we made fun of him constantly and incessantly due to the fact that his name was Michael Jordan. Let’s begin there; needless to say, he wasn’t Michael Jordan “It was her expression.

“In addition to that, he was known to bring a photograph to school. We made our home in Newark. That there is a neighbourhood. We would mock him by asking things such as, “What are you going to do with that ridiculous headshot!?” And now look at him!”

When Jordan was younger, becoming a performer was never one of his goals. In 2015, Jordan revealed to a publication that his mother was the one who encouraged him to pursue a profession in the entertainment industry by taking him to his very first audition for a commercial.

“It wasn’t something that was on my bucket list from the beginning. But much like other children my age, I had no idea what I wanted to do when I grew up. And acting and modelling took me out of school earlier and gave me the opportunity to go into the city, so I was very interested in those fields “he explained to NJ.com.

When Jordan first began his career as an actor, he was only 12 years old. Today, Jordan is considered one of the most respected performers in all of Tinseltown. He is known for his work in films such as Fantastic Four (2015), Creed (2015), and Black Panther (2015), among others (2018). Creed III, which is scheduled to be released in theatres on March 3, will mark his first time behind the camera as a filmmaker.
