Saturday, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju referred to the collegium issue as a “mindgame” and stated that he will not discuss it.
When queried about the various Supreme Court Collegium recommendations pending before the government, including those regarding the appointment of high court chief justices, he made these remarks.
“The Collegium issue is a contest of wits. “I am not going to discuss it,” he stated.
Rijiju was speaking on the sidelines of an occasion in Arunachal Pradesh to dedicate 254 mobile towers for 4G service.
He stated that the paucity of infrastructure facilities in border regions with difficult terrain was a significant problem for the locals.

Rijiju has been very vocal in his opposition to the Collegium system, and has even referred to it as “alien to our Constitution”
