Missiles Misfired During Army Exercise In Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer

Three surface-to-air missiles were misfired by the Army from the Pokhran field firing range in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer.

Three missiles misfired during an Indian Army firing exercise in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Three surface-to-air missiles misfired during the firing exercise at the Pokhran field firing range due to a technical malfunction.

The three missiles missed their target and exploded in the fields of various villages, producing loud explosions. No loss of life or property was reported, however.Lt. Col. Amitabh Sharma, a spokesperson for the defence, stated that the missiles were accidentally launched during a military exercise. In accordance with the findings of the investigation, further action will be taken.

MISSILE MISSING

The remnants of two of the misfired missiles have been found, but the authorities have yet to locate the third. Currently, police and military teams are seeking for the third missile.The missiles with a range between 10 and 25 kilometers were being test-fired by Army experts, but a technical error caused them to deviate from their intended course.

Kailash Vishnoi, the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Nachana, verified the incident and stated that a missile was discovered in a field in the Ajasar village. The second missile was discovered in an additional field. Large craters were produced in the field by the missile.
