Multiple areas of the Alappuzha district in Kerala were flooded due to excessive rainfall.

Today in Kerala, the IMD forecasts that Thiruvananthapuram will experience a cloudy sky with a few rain or thunderstorm showers.

According to media reports, educational institutions in Kannur, Kottayam, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, and Pathanamthitta are closed today. Kerala districts Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragode have received a yellow alert for today.

In the next 4-5 days, parts of Rajasthan will receive light to moderate precipitation: MeT Rajasthan monsoon update:

Due to the rapid advancement of the monsoon in Rajasthan, the meteorological (MeT) department forecasts light to moderate rainfall in the state’s eastern portion, as well as the Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions, over the next four to five days.

It was stated that there is a significant possibility of heavy rains in some areas, and very heavy rains in one or two areas.

According to the department, in the previous twenty-four hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in some areas of the state, while torrential rainfall was recorded in portions of the Karauli district. Various locations in the districts of Banswara, Bharatpur, Dungarpur, and Jaipur have recorded significant precipitation.

For the next two days, the department has issued an orange alert for eastern regions and a yellow alert for western regions.

Orange alert issued in five Maharashtra districts today

IMD has issued an orange alert for today’s rainfall in the Satara, Pune, Ratnagiri, Raigad, and Palghar districts of Maharashtra.

In addition to Mumbai, the districts of Thane, Shindhudurg, Nasik, Kolhapur, Akola, Amravat, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal have also been issued a yellow alert for today.

In two hours, a thunderstorm with moderate precipitation will hit UP and Haryana.

Over and adjacent to Khatauli, Sakota Tanda (U.P. ), a thunderstorm with moderate rainfall intensity is expected. In the next two hours, light to moderate rain will fall in and around Hodal (Haryana), Daurala, Amroha, Sambhal, Bahajoi, Bareilly, Sahaswan, Nandgaon, Barsana, Raya, and Mathura (Uttar Pradesh).
