After a house collapsed in the Khanetar village of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, over thirty women were injured. According to Dr. Zulafkar Ahmed, Superintendent of Poonch District Hospital, all of the injured have been admitted to the hospital and are undergoing treatment.
In a previous statement, the SHO of Poonch, Ranjit Rai, stated, “As the mourners gathered, the roof of the house collapsed, injuring more than two dozen people.”
In the meantime, Rising Kashmir has reported, citing officials, that at least 43 people, mostly women, were injured when the funerary home they were attending collapsed.

Women reportedly gathered at the home of Zakir Hussain Shah in Khanetar village, close to the High School in Poonch district, to mourn the demise of a woman. “Over time, as more people poured in, the house collapsed, resulting in at least 43 women being injured,” they said.
