On Tuesday, a disturbing alleged video of a man urinating on a Tribal person in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh went viral on social media, drawing immense outrage and criticism. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, chief minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh, took note of the incident and instructed the appropriate authorities to take stern action. He added that the perpetrator “will not be spared.”
“A ubiquitous video of Sidhi district has been brought to my attention…I have instructed the administration to apprehend the perpetrator, take strict action, and implement NSA,” CM Chouhan tweeted.
The Deputy SP of Sidhi, Priya Singh, asserted that action would be taken after establishing the video’s veracity. She stated, “It must be determined if a Dalit (male) was involved in the incident.”
While reports suggested that the accused is a BJP leader, Kedarnath Shukla, an MLA for the BJP in Sidhi, told media that the man is “not affiliated with the party.” “He (the perpetrator in the video) is neither my agent nor my associate. I implore that the perpetrator be punished severely,” he said.
The video also garnered criticism from the state’s opposition leaders. Former Member of Parliament CM Kamal Nath stated, “There is no place in a civilized society for such a heinous and despicable act committed by tribal youth.”

“Madhya Pradesh already ranks first in terms of tribal atrocities. This incident has shamed the entire state of Madhya Pradesh. “I demand from the Chief Minister that the most severe punishment be given to the perpetrator and that the atrocities against tribals in Madhya Pradesh cease,” he wrote on Twitter.
