Ms. Mrunal Thakur is an actress who works in both Bollywood and the south film business. She is excited to see both parts of the world and isn’t worried about how different crowds in each area will want and expect things from her.
Right now, Thakur is busy filming VD 13, his third Telugu movie, with Vijay Deverakonda. She is working on Shouryuv’s first movie, which stars Nani but doesn’t have a name yet.
“There isn’t a real difference between the needs and wants of different groups and regions. I’d like to make all sorts of movies. Thakur says, “I don’t want to be labeled or slowed down by languages or labels.”
The 31-year-old also says, “All movies are great; it’s the story and the variety of characters that make them great.” That’s what counts, and I think people in the crowd want the same thing. People want to see you in new and different roles, and that’s what I do as an actress.
Thakur’s first movie in Telugu was Sita Ramam, which came out last year. In the past, she made her movie start in the 2014 Marathi movie Vitti Dandu. Since then, she’s been in movies like Ghost Stories, Lust Stories 2, Toofaan, and Dhamaka.
She talks about her time in the Hindi and South film industries and says, “The love I’ve received from audiences is unimaginable. I still have a ‘pinch me’ moment every time I see the love that comes my way.” Thank goodness I get to play different parts and become a different person in each movie.

“It’s lots of fun, hard, and different.” Artists like us can only do what we do. There are bumps in the road, but the goal is always to make movies and play parts that people like and respect. Also, getting people in the business to notice you can be hard if you don’t have the same platform as others. “But the reward is even sweeter when you finally get that success or praise after a lot of hard work,” she adds.
