A 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in the neighboring country Nepal late on Tuesday night. Its tremors were felt all over North India including the capital Delhi. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred on November 8 at around 1.57 am.
6 people died after a house collapsed in Nepal’s Doti district. According to the Doti police, the six people who died due to the collapse of the house due to the earthquake have been identified.
The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Prem Bohra, 40-year-old Bhagwati Bohra, 13-year-old Sita Bohra, 8-year-old Harak Bohra, 14-year-old Dhansari Bohra and 14-year-old. Due to the destruction of the house in the earthquake, people had to spend the night in the cold.
Six other people were also injured in the house collapse. All the injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. The Nepal Army has been deployed in search and rescue operations in the earthquake-affected areas. Along with this, the work of removing the debris of the houses is going on.
Police said that teams of Nepal Police, Armed Police, Nepali Army reached the spot for rescue. A team including local people is carrying out the rescue work. This accident happened in Garagaon, Ward No. 3 of Doti’s East Outpost Rural Municipality.
Nepal PM Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the earthquake. Said that he has directed all concerned agencies to help the victims.
