New Delhi: A petition will now be filed against the Supreme Court’s verdict in the case of gang-rape and murder of a young woman in Chhawla area of Delhi in February, 2012. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena (Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena) has given approval in this regard. According to information received from sources, the appointment of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati has also been approved to represent the victims in this case.
Petition to be filed against acquittal by SC
In fact, recently, the Supreme Court had acquitted all the three accused in the Chhawla gangrape and murder case due to lack of evidence while questioning the investigation. Whereas, this was a famous case of 2012, in which a 19-year-old girl was gang-raped and then brutally murdered.
The victim’s parents wanted a review petition
At the same time, when the matter reached the Supreme Court, the Delhi Police’s investigation was also questioned in the judgment and the accused were acquitted due to lack of evidence and witnesses. After this decision, the family members of the Chhawla gangrape victim had said in response that they would file a review petition challenging the Supreme Court’s decision.
In fact, in the 2012 case, the Supreme Court had acquitted all the three accused. On the other hand, the victim’s family is demanding death penalty for the accused. In this regard, the parents of the victim had met LG VK Saxena and requested to file a review petition. Earlier, the Delhi High Court had upheld the hanging decisions of the lower court.
The youth of Haryana had given the result of the incident
Let us tell you that in February 2012, a 19-year-old girl from Chhawla was abducted and gang-raped by three youths in a car. After this he was murdered. Ravi, Rahul and Vinod Haryana, accused in the case registered by the Delhi Police, had carried out the incident.

Girl’s mutilated body was found in Rewari
Ravi Kumar, Rahul and Vinod were accused of abducting, gang-raping and brutally killing the girl in February 2012. The mutilated body of the girl was found three days after the abduction. It was found in the fields of Rodhai village of Rewari, Haryana.
