No Indian opener has been able to replicate Virender Sehwag’s ability to strike the ball cleanly. Not only has he scored two triple-hundreds, but his daring with the bat also made him fascinating to witness. He also won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 World Cup with India. He participated in 108 Tests (8,586 runs), 251 ODIs (8,273 runs), and 19 Twenty20 Internationals. (394 runs). In March of 2013, he played his final match for India against Australia. Now, Sehwag has revealed that no Indian batsman in the current generation plays like him.
“I don’t believe anyone on the Indian team bats as well as I do. Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant are the two players who immediately spring to mind who have come close. I believe Rishabh Pant is comparable to how I used to bat in Test cricket, although he is content with 90-100 runs while I used to be contented with 200, 250, and 300. If he elevated his game to that level, I believe he would be able to entertain his supporters even more,” Sehwag said during a TV Program.
Recently, Sehwag commented on the prevalence of ailments among the senior men’s national cricket team. He believed that weightlifting exercises played a significant role in the players’ injuries and that the exercise had no place in cricket. Sehwag stated that athletes should concentrate more on their game and less on weightlifting. He believes that modern Indian athletes sustain injuries in the weight room rather than on the field.

In an effort to develop a powerful physique, the exercise has become quite popular among cricket players in recent years.
“Weightlifting does not belong in cricket. Instead, you should perform the exercises designed to enhance your game. Weightlifting will increase your strength, but also your stiffness and pain. In our era, none of Aakash Chopra, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, MS Dhoni, or Yuvraj Singh were ruled out due to back, hamstring, or quadriceps injuries, Sehwag said on “The Ranveer Show.”
