Ritesh Agarwal’s father dies: Ramesh Agarwal, the father of oyo Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal, died today after plummeting from the 20th floor of a high-rise building in Gurugram. This occurs days after the nuptials of Ritesh Agarwal.In a statement, Ritesh Agarwal asked that “our privacy be respected during this difficult time.”
“With a heavy heart, my family and I regret to inform you that our guiding light and fortitude, Shri Ramesh Agarwal, passed away on March 10.” He led a full life and daily inspired me and countless others. His passing is a tragic loss for our family. The compassion and warmth of my father saw us through our most difficult periods and propelled us forward. His words will have a profound effect on our souls. We entreat that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time,” said Ritesh Agarwal.
The DCP of Gurugram East stated that the police were notified of the incident at approximately 1:00 p.m. today. “According to reports, Ramesh Agarwal plummeted from the twenty-first floor of the high-rise DLF The Crest. At the time of his demise, his wife, his son Ritesh Agarwal, and his (newlywed) wife were present at the apartment where he had fallen from the balcony. There was no suicide note discovered. “The family has not filed a complaint regarding the cause of death,” he said.
The autopsy has been completed, and the family has received the body.Ramesh Agarwal and his wife reportedly resided in a high-rise residence.

Ritesh Agarwal, age 29, married Geetansha Sood, the director of Farmation Ventures Private Limited, earlier this week. Several personalities, including Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma, SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son, former BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover, and Bharti Airtel’s Sunil Mittal, attended the reception in Delhi.
