Rahul Gandhi launched the MGANY in Bilaspur district earlier in the day. He also criticized the Narendra Modi government over the census.

Gandhi got on the Bilaspur-Itwari Intercity train from Bilaspur with chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, Kumari Selja, who is in charge of the Congress party in the state, and Dipak Baij, who is the head of the state unit. A sleeper bus took them on their trip.

Rahul Gandhi is known as a leader of the people by the Congress party, who call him Jannayak or Jan Neta.

According to what Baij told the reporters, Gandhi talked to people on the train, including children, during the trip.

One of the girls Gandhi talked to said she played hockey. She also talked about how the astroturf hockey field in Rajnandgaon is getting worse.

The girl from the Rajnandgaon area of the state said, “I told him that we want a new turf.” She had some other girl players with her.

A man who was with the players said that Gandhi asked about the training and tools that were available to them at the Khelo India Centre in Rajnandgaon.

The Congress party in power said that the railway ministry had canceled 2,600 trains in the state in the past few months, making things very hard for people. Baghel had written to the railway ministry earlier to say that 2,600 trains would not be running.

Early that day, Gandhi launched the “Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Nyay Yojana” (MGANY) in the Bilaspur area. He also said bad things about the government at the center, which is run by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, about the census.

Gandhi said that the goal of the Congress government’s “Gramin Awas Nyay Yojna (GANY)” is to help poor people and families living in kutcha houses in rural areas by giving them money.

In Raipur, Gandhi led a meeting about getting ready for the election in the state. CM Baghel, deputy CM TS Singhdeo, and other party leaders were there.

Nominations for all 90 members of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly are due in November.
