Ram Chandra Paudel Elected As New President Of Nepal: Ram Chandra Paudel was elected as the new president of Nepal. According to Nepal’s Election Commission, he received 33,802 electoral ballots, while his opponent, Subash Chandra Nembwang, received 15,518, respectively.
In addition, according to Nepal’s Election Commission, 313 members of the federal parliament and 518 members of the Province assemblies voted to select the next president.
The vote took place at the New Baneshwar, Kathmandu, location of the Nepalese parliament. In the Hall, the Election Commission of the Himalayan nation had established two distinct polling stations for federal parliamentarians and members of the Province Assembly.
The Office of the Election Officer has confirmed that the presidential election results will be released at 7 p.m. (NST).
All provincial legislators have arrived in Kathmandu for the election. The Electoral College consists of 884 members, including 275 members of the House of Representatives, 59 members of the National Assembly, and 550 members of the seven provincial assemblies.
Consequently, there will be a total of 52,786 ballots in the Electoral College if there are no vacant seats in the federal or provincial legislatures. A candidate must receive the majority of ballots to win the top position. The weight of a federal parliament member’s vote is 79, while that of a provincial assembly member is 48.

In the Presidential election, senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Paudel is supported by eight parties, while Subash Chandra Nembang, the sole candidate of the CPN-UML, is anticipated to receive the backing of independent legislators.
