Rescue Eight-Year-Old Boy In MP : At approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday, an eight-year-old boy fell into a 60-foot-deep borewell in the Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh. The boy is stranded 43 feet below the surface.
According to Vidisha Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sameer Yadav, oxygen is being supplied within the borewell, but rescuers have not yet been able to communicate with the boy. Additionally, webcams have been installed to locate the boy.
Rescue “A boy, 8 years old, fell into a 60-foot-deep borewell in Vidisha MP and became stuck at 43 feet. There are three SDRF teams and one NDRF team at the location. The child is being monitored and oxygen is being supplied inside the borewell. “We have not yet been able to communicate with him, nor has food been delivered to him,” he said.
The ASP added that the rescuers have noticed some movement inside the borewell – a sign that the child is alive.
“The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. The police and administration arrived immediately. Movements have been noticed inside the borewell and we are trying to pull the child out as early as possible,” Yadav added.
According to Yadav, in order to reach the child, the rescue team dug a 34-foot pit within a 49-foot pit. “We are optimistic that the child will be rescued in the near future,” he said.

In a similar incident in the Ahmednagar district of Madhya Pradesh, a five-year-old died after falling into a borewell. According to officials with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the boy fell accidentally into a 200-foot-deep, uncovered borewell while playing around 4 p.m. on Monday and became trapped at 20 feet. Although rescuers were able to extricate the boy from the well on Tuesday morning, he was pronounced dead.
