Oscars 2023: This year marks the year that she was nominated for an Oscar for the first time. Fans will be thrilled to learn that Rihanna will be performing the song “Lift Me Up,” which was nominated for an Academy Award and is featured in the film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” at the ceremony for the 95th Academy Awards. According to Variety’s account, the news was dropped by the show’s executive producers and showrunners, Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner.
Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Ludwig Goransson are all responsible for the song’s composition, while Tems and Ryan Coogler are the ones responsible for writing the song’s lyrics.
At the beginning of this month, Rihanna headlined the Super Bowl halftime performance, despite the fact that she has not issued a new studio album since 2016’s “Anti.” Because she is anticipating a second child, her performance was somewhat overshadowed by the news that she is carrying another baby. Rihanna did not mention the fact that she is pregnant while she was performing, but she was clearly pregnant, and her representatives confirmed the news to Variety shortly after the show ended.
According to Variety’s report, Catherine Zeta-Jones is the only other name in recent memory to perform a musical number at the Academy Awards while pregnant. While many actors and celebrities have presented or accepted awards at the Oscars while pregnant, Catherine Zeta-Jones is the only other name in recent memory to do so.
