Sana Ramchand Gulwani is the first Hindu woman to be put in charge of the province of Punjab as an assistant commissioner and administrator.
Islamabad: Hassanabdal in the province of Punjab in Pakistan has a new assistant commissioner and administrator, and she is the first person in the town’s history to hold such positions. She is 27 years old and a member of Pakistan’s Hindu minority population.
According to The Express Tribune, Sana Ramchand Gulwani, who was born and raised in the city of Shikarpur in the province of Sindh, completed her education to become a physician in accordance with the aspirations of her parents before applying to the Federal Public Service Commission.
After successfully completing the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination in 2020, she made history by being the first woman from the Hindu community to enter the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS).
According to the Dawn daily, she started her new role as the assistant commissioner and administrator of Hassanabdal city in the Attock district last week.
Gulwani was successful in her very first try at the test.
She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree as a urologist from Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University in 2016. This degree was awarded to her in 2016. After that, she began studying for the CSS examination.
She stated, “I do not know whether I am the first one, but (I) have never heard of someone (female) from my community ever sitting for the test.” “I do not know if I am the first one,” she said.

The majority of Pakistan’s minority population is comprised of Hindus.
There are around 75 lakh Hindus living in the nation, according to government figures.
Sindh province is home to the bulk of Pakistan’s Hindu community. Like other inhabitants of Sindh, Hindus in this region share their culture, customs, and language with Muslims.
