Shaheen Shah Afridi, a great fast bowler for Pakistan, got married to Shahid Afridi’s daughter Ansha at a mosque in Karachi on Friday. Two years ago, they said “I do.”
As soon as the wedding was over, pictures from the private event started showing up on social media sites.
The pacer’s teammates were there to make the event special. Among the guests were the current captain of Pakistan, Babar Azam, as well as Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, and Shadab Khan. Jahangir Khan, who is a squash legend, was also there.
Reports say that Shaheen Shah Afridi’s family arrived in Karachi for the wedding two days early, and that the couple’s mehndi ceremony took place on Thursday night.
The 22-year-old pacer has played for Pakistan in 25 Tests, 32 ODIs, and 47 T20Is. In those three types of games, he has taken 99, 62, and 58 wickets.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will next play for Lahore Qalandars in the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League, which is set to start on February 13 and run until March 13.
“Lahore Qalandars wishes @iShaheenAfridi eternal bliss,” the Twitter caption for the photo album said.

On the day before his wedding, Shaheen Shah Afridi, who hurt his knee in last year’s T20 World Cup final, was seen working hard in the nets to get ready for the PSL 8 season.
The 22-year-old recently talked about his time in rehab, when he was almost done with cricket but kept himself going by watching old videos of himself.
“I didn’t always want to keep going. I only worked on one muscle, and it wasn’t getting better. I used to tell myself, “This is enough, I can’t do this anymore,” a lot during my rehab sessions. But then I would watch my bowling on YouTube and see how well I did. That made me want to work harder, so I told myself, “Push a little more.” When a fast bowler gets hurt and can’t play cricket, it’s a pain “Shaheen said on YouTube.

Shaheen was a big part of Lahore Qalandars winning their first PSL title last year, both with the ball and with the bat.
