Special PMLA court to filed charges against suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal on April 10

Wednesday, the Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act court in Ranchi postponed until April 10 the filing of charges against suspended IAS Pooja Singhal in a money laundering case.

Ranchi: The PMLA special court will charges against suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal on April 10.

After hearing both cases, the court set the date.Pooja Singhal will be tried after charges are made. The PMLA judge denied Singhal’s discharge petition two days prior.

On May 11, the ED arrested Singhal for money laundering in Khunti, Jharkhand, involving MGNREGA funds misuse. Arrest followed two days of questioning.

The special PMLA judge extended her five-day detention from May 12 to May 25. The ED arrested her in four states. Her husband’s certified accountant Suman Kumar’s home was seized for Rs 17 crore.

Singhal has conditional bail. The Supreme Court gave her bail to visit her sick daughter in Delhi. She cannot enter Jharkhand during bail.
