Stock Market Opening: The stock market has got off to a good start on the first trading day of the new year and has managed to open at a brisk pace. Today, business is being seen on the green mark in both Sensex and Nifty. Sensex is open beyond 60,800 while Nifty is open beyond 18100.
How are Sensex and Nifty doing?
Currently, out of 30 stocks in the Sensex, 13 stocks are seeing gains and 17 stocks are trading with a decline. Apart from this, the Nifty is trading with a speed of 26 points and a decline in 23 stocks is being registered. A stock is trading unchanged.
How was the opening of the market
In the opening of the stock market today, the BSE Sensex opened at 60,871.24 with a gain of 30.50 points i.e. 0.05 per cent. On the other hand, the Nifty has opened at 18,131.70 with a gain of 26.40 points i.e. 0.15 percent.
Sector wise how is the business going
Talking about Nifty’s sectors, today, along with Bank, Auto, Consumer Durables, Oil and Gas, metal stocks are also witnessing a boom. Apart from this, the Healthcare and Pharma index is trading with a decline of 0.65 per cent.
Which stocks are up
Talking about the fastest growing stocks of Nifty, the stocks of Tata Steel, Hindalco, Tata Motors, JSW Steel, Britannia are seeing a boom. Among the 30 Sensex stocks, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, SBI, Reliance, Axis Bank, UltraTech Cement, Maruti, HUL, Axis Bank and Nestle are registering gains.
How was the market in pre-open
Today, in the pre-opening of the market, the stock market was seen in the green mark. BSE’s Sensex was trading at the level of 60882.16, up 41.42 points i.e. 0.07 percent. Apart from this, the Nifty of NSE was trading at 18145.50 points with a gain of 40.20 points i.e. 0.22 percent.
