She had dilated cardiomyopathy and recurrent ventricular tachycardia, according to Commandant AICTS. She needed a new heart to extend her life, and the AICTS team was looking for one that would work for her "said in the release. With the aid of Western Air Command, the medical division of Southern Command organised the transport of a donated heart from AHRR.
