In support of Israel, the UK will send two Royal Navy ships and surveillance aircraft to the eastern Mediterranean, according to a statement released Thursday by the prime minister’s office.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in a statement, “Alongside our allies, the deployment of our world-class military will support efforts to ensure regional stability and prevent further escalation.”

According to the statement, maritime patrol and surveillance aircraft will commence operations in the area on Friday in order to “monitor threats to regional stability, including the transfer of weaponry to terrorist organizations.”

According to the statement, the military package comprises two Royal Navy vessels (RFA Lyme Bay and RFA Argus), three Merlin helicopters, P8 aircraft, and a company of Royal Marines.

The military deployments will be in standby status, the government said, in order to provide Israel with “practical support” and “deterrence and assurance.”

“Our military and diplomatic teams across the region will also support international partners to re-establish security and ensure humanitarian aid reaches the thousands of innocent victims of this barbaric attack from Hamas terrorists,” according to Sunak.

King Charles III has awarded an honorary MBE to a renowned UK-based Sanskrit scholar and Executive Director of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan institution in London for services to Indian classical arts in Britain.

Dr. M.N. Nandakumara, a native of the Karnataka village of Mattur, has been associated with the Bhavan for 46 years and has welcomed Charles to the popular Indian cultural center on multiple occasions.

The award, which was approved by the British monarch for foreign nationals for their contribution to public life, was confirmed earlier this month by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) and will be formally presented at a later date. MBE was awarded “for services to the teaching, performance, and accessibility of Indian classical arts in the United Kingdom.”

Dr. Nandakumara stated, “I feel truly honored and humbled; I am happiest because this award is in recognition of the Bhavan’s work and service in the field of Indian arts and culture, and it comes as we celebrate our 50th anniversary this year.”

ALSO READ :Kajra Re dancer’s viral.

“The King has visited the Bhavan four times and has always shown a great deal of interest in the courses we teach. On one occasion, the then-Prince of Wales sat on the carpet with our tabla player and attempted to play the instrument, he revealed.

The first time Charles visited the Bhavan was when its main auditorium was named after his cherished uncle, the last Viceroy of India, Lord Mountbatten.

The center, registered with the Charity Commission in England as the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, offers a variety of classes, including Yoga, Indian languages, dance, and music. Prior to the COVID pandemic, the school had 900 students enrolled in its courses. While that number has decreased somewhat due to a switch to online classes, the school’s leader is optimistic that enrollment will increase in the coming months due to a growing interest among youth in learning about Indian arts and culture.

“Our center is open to everyone, not just Indians or members of the Indian diaspora, because we adhere to Gandhian principles. In fact, our Yoga class is comprised of 95% European students, and all other classes have a similarly diverse student body,” said Dr. Nandakumara, also known as Nandaji to his students.

His relationship with the Bhavan dates back to the 1970s, when he joined as a Sanskrit teacher while completing his PhD at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. Since 1995, he has served as its Executive Director.

Foreign students in the UK can work 20 hours

According to a report, UK international students, including Indians, may be permitted to work longer hours and more part-time employment to fill labour shortages in various sectors.

The Times said that the administration is considering raising this cap to 30 hours or eliminating altogether to promote its economy. Last year’s 1.1 million migrants included 476,000 international students.

Last year, 161,000 students, including 33,240 dependents, came from India. Prime Minister of UK Rishi Sunak said that “companies are crying out for labour” with 1.3 million vacant positions, roughly half a million more than before the outbreak.

The Times reported that “part of a swathe of proposals being studied” includes lifting the international student hours cap. Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s plans to cut international student numbers could complicate matters.

International students, including Indians, in the UK are likely to be allowed to work for longer hours and take up more part time jobs to plug labour shortages in various sectors across the country
https://t.co/eGZIS4Y6YT

— Economic Times (@EconomicTimes) January 28, 2023

Braverman has advocated lowering the overall number of people moving to Britain, as well as limiting the amount of time that international students can remain in the country once they graduate. Limits on the number of dependents allowed as well as courses considered to be of “poor quality” are currently up for debate.

According to the Department of Education, the constraints will lead to the financial collapse of universities in the UK, which are dependent on students from other countries.

Also read: Pakistan Currency sinks To 262 Against Dollar

According to research conducted by a company based in the United Kingdom called New Way Consultancy, international students and their families made a financial contribution to the economy of the United Kingdom by paying tuition fees ranging from 10,000 to 26,000 pounds and paying an NHS surcharge of 400 pounds for students and 600 pounds for dependents.

It was asserted that the restrictions on graduate work visas would force Indian students to seek opportunities in Australia and Canada, so causing the UK student economy to collapse.

Lancashire Police said that they had given a 42-year-old man from London an offer of a fixed penalty with certain conditions.Mr. Sunak “fully accepts that this was a mistake and has apologised,” adding that he would pay the fine. When a seat belt is available, a passenger who doesn’t use it can be fined £100. If the case goes to court, this can go up to £500. When the video was made, the prime minister was in Lancashire, which is in the north of England.

The video was put on Mr. Sunak’s Instagram account to promote the latest round of “levelling up” spending by the government. It is Mr. Sunak’s second fixed penalty notice while he has been in government. Last April, he, Boris Johnson, and Carrie Johnson were all fined for breaking Covid lockdown rules by going to a party for the then-prime minister’s birthday in Downing Street in June 2020. Fixed penalty notices are fines that people get when they break the law. They have to be paid or contested within 28 days. If the person wants to fight the fine, the police will look at the case and decide whether to drop the fine or go to court.

Angela Rayner, who is the deputy leader of Labour, said that Mr. Sunak was a “total liability” in a tweet. “Rishi Sunak’s leveling-up photo op has blown up in his face and made him a laughing stock,” said a Labour Party spokesman. The Liberal Democrats said that by becoming the second prime minister ever to get a ticket from the police, he had “shown the same lack of respect for the rules as Boris Johnson.”

Daisy Cooper, the deputy leader of the Lib Dems, said, “From partygate to seatbelt gate, these Conservative politicians just treat the British people like they are stupid.

“This fine is a reminder that the Conservatives will get what they deserve if they keep acting like there are different rules for them and everyone else.” But Scott Benton, the Conservative MP for Blackpool South, defended Mr. Sunak by saying, “Everyone makes mistakes.” Mr. Benton said that the police should focus on “fighting serious crime in our communities,” and he added, “Let’s keep this in perspective.” Millions of Britons get these same fixed penalty notices every single year.”

People older than 14 are responsible for buckling up in cars, vans, and other goods vehicles with seat belts if they have them. Drivers are responsible for passengers under 14.

On Wednesday, UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly meets with Northern Ireland’s political leaders in Belfast to try to break a political stalemate caused by disagreements over trading rules after the UK leaves the European Union (Brexit).

The visit comes after the UK and the European Union said they had reached a breakthrough by agreeing to share data on trade between Northern Ireland and England, Scotland, and Wales.

Under the Northern Ireland Protocol, goods coming from mainland Great Britain to the province have to go through customs checks to make sure they don’t get into the European single market through Ireland, which is a member state.

But because the pro-UK Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) doesn’t like the rules, Northern Ireland doesn’t have a government where power is shared. This threatens the peace deal from 1998.

There are hopes that the standoff can be solved before the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, which ended 30 years of sectarian violence over British rule and made the border between Northern Ireland and Ireland open.

Cleverly is going to meet with Maros Sefcovic, the EU’s point person on the issue, again next week. He said again that he preferred a “negotiated solution.” “Northern Ireland’s political stability depends on putting an end to the fight.

“The way things are now isn’t working. We need to deal with the parts of the Protocol that put Northern Ireland’s place in the UK at risk and hurt it “he added.

“UPWARD MOVEMENT”
Brussels and London have been talking for months about how to ease tensions over the protocol. Unionists were angry about what they saw as unnecessary checks on goods in the UK’s internal market.

They say that keeping Northern Ireland in the EU’s customs union and single market separates it from the other three UK countries and makes it more likely that Ireland will become one country.

Boris Johnson, the UK’s former prime minister, strained relations between the UK and the EU by trying to change the protocol on his own through a draught law that is still making its way through parliament.

On Monday, the UK and the 27-country bloc agreed that the EU can get real-time information about which goods are moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.

On Tuesday, Irish Foreign Minister Micheal Martin met with Sefcovic for what he called “very useful discussions.” He said he was “encouraged by the new positive momentum” toward resolving the dispute.

The power-sharing government at Stormont is supposed to start up again on January 19. Cleverly’s visit comes before that date.

The UK government has warned that it could hold new elections if the DUP continues to boycott, but it has also passed laws that could push the deadline back.

According to a media report citing new polling data, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and 15 of his Cabinet ministers are at risk of losing their seats in a general election “wipeout” in 2024.
Prime Minister Sunak, Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab, and Health Secretary Steve Barclay are all at risk of losing the 2024 election, according to polling data shared with The Independent.

According to the Best for Britain poll conducted by Focaldata, Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, Business Secretary Grant Shapps, Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt, and Environment Secretary Therese Coffey could also lose their seats.

According to the poll, only five Cabinet ministers – Jeremy Hunt, Suella Braverman (of Indian descent), Michael Gove, Nadhim Zawawi, and Kemi Badenoch – would remain in office after the 2024 election.

A new analysis shared with The Independent on 10 crucial “bellwether” seats – those that have consistently voted for the winning party over the past few decades – indicates that Labour is on track to win all 10 seats.

“Sunak’s Cabinet deserves nothing less than a clean sweep,” said Naomi Smith, chief executive officer of Best for Britain, a group advocating for internationalist values and closer EU ties. Smith stated that the high proportion of undecided voters still gives the Conservatives a chance to make the election close. Despite the dismal poll numbers for Sunak’s party, Best for Britain’s analysis indicates that Labour’s massive lead over the Conservatives may be more tenuous than previously believed.

Recent polls indicate that Labour has a 20-point lead over the Conservatives as Sunak, age 42, tries to revive the party’s fortunes at the start of 2023. Polling experts said a slight poll bounce after Sunak took over from Liz Truss has now “flatlined”, the report said.

This week, Sunak attempted to relaunch his premiership by making five promises to turn the economy around, reduce NHS waiting lists, and “stop the small boats” before the 2024 election.

But the latest MRP poll findings raise questions about Sunak’s leadership ahead of his first real electoral test at the local elections in May. Some within the Conservative party believe that Boris Johnson, the party’s former leader, could be enticed to return if the party suffers a crushing defeat.

A grassroots Tory organisation comprised of Johnson’s allies is planning to launch a “Momentum-style” campaign to give members complete control over candidate selection.

Many of Johnson’s supporters blame Sunak’s resignation in July last year for sparking the downfall of his government.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s office said Wednesday that all UK students must study Math till age 18. In his first speech of the year, Rishi Sunak is expected to discuss his priorities for 2023.
Rishi Sunak entered politics to give every child the best education possible. Rishi Sunak said, “With the right plan and commitment to excellence, we can rival the world’s best education systems.”

8 million adults in England have the numeracy skills of first graders, the Prime Minister’s office said. Only about half of 16-19-year-olds study math, and the problem is especially acute for disadvantaged students, 60% of whom lack basic math skills at age 16.

“Rethinking numeracy is one of the biggest changes we need in education today. Our children’s jobs will require more analytical skills than ever in a data-driven world. Leaving children without these skills is letting them down “Rishi Sunak spoke.

United Kingdom PM: British Prime Minister of Indian origin Rishi Sunak may lose his parliamentary seat in the upcoming general elections in Britain. This claim has been made by Britain’s Savanta Agency. In its survey, the agency has given the opposition Labor Party 20 more seats than the Prime Minister’s ruling Conservative Party. Sawant said in a statement on Tuesday (December 13) that the Labor Party would cross the majority mark of 314 seats. Sawant also said that Keir Starmer’s party would get 48% and the Tories would get 28% vote share in the general election.

Including PM Sunak’s constituency in Yorkshire and all the seats in the north of Lincolnshire, the Conservative Party may lose around 300 seats. Sawant also interviewed 6,237 British adults between 2 December and 5 December.

The Labor Party is far ahead of the Conservative Party in the survey

In this survey, the Labor Party has been told far ahead of the Conservative Party. It has become clear from this survey that in the elections to be held in the year 2025, PM Sunak will have to work hard to improve the image of his party. The Tory brand has failed miserably this year as MPs ousted two prime ministers, including Sunak’s first, Liz Truss.

45 percent people trust the Labor Party

On Tuesday, Delta Poll conducted a separate survey with 1,088 people. In this survey, 45% of the people told the Labor Party and 32% of the Tories as their choice. Chris Hopkins, director of political research at Savanta, said the survey suggests the 2024 result could be “very different” if Rishi Sunak narrows the Labor lead point-by-point.

How many seats in 2019

In the 2019 general election, the Tory party won a total of 365 seats. Now they have only 356 seats as a result of suspension and defeat in the by-elections. According to the latest polls released, his party can win only 69 seats compared to 482 for the Labor Party. Sawant’s survey showed that the Scottish National Party would win 55 seats and the Liberal Democrats 21.
