President Putin of Russia praised India on Thursday, saying that the country’s high-tech exports are expanding exponentially. He added that India is growing stronger under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“I believe that international law should be adapted to reflect the shifting global situation. Countries with substantial influence in international affairs, such as India with its 1.5 billion people and over 7% GDP growth, deserve representation and the chance to contribute to the resolution of global issues, the Russian president stated in Moscow.

Putin was quoted by PTI as saying, “India’s high-tech exports are growing exponentially, making it stronger each year under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.”

Putin added, “They are attempting to portray as enemies anyone who is unwilling to blindly follow these Western elites.” At some stage, they attempted to do the same with India. Obviously, they are courting now. We all grasp this concept very well.

“We perceive the scenario in Asia. Nothing is unclear. The Indian leadership is self-directed, per my examination. It is determined by national interests. I believe that these efforts are incoherent. However, they persist. They are attempting to portray Arabs as enemies. They are attempting to be cautious, but in the end, it all reduces down to this,” the Russian president added.

Putin and Prime Minister Modi share an excellent rapport. Wednesday, the Russian president praised Modi and referred to him as “wise.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin heaped praise on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a “very wise man” and noting that India is making great advances in development under his leadership, according to RT.

Putin also expressed optimism for continued collaboration between Russia and India in the areas of financial security and the fight against cybercrime.

“We have very excellent political relations with Prime Minister Modi, who is a man of great wisdom. Under his stewardship, India has made substantial progress in its development. This entirely satisfies both India and Russia’s desire to advance this agenda, Putin said in a video shared by RT News.

According to reports coming out of Russia-based media outlet RT, the leader of Russia expressed hope for future cooperation between Moscow and New Delhi in the field of financial security as well as the fight against cybercrime.

“We have very good political relations with Prime Minister Modi, and he is a very wise man,” said the Prime Minister of India. And because of the way he directs India’s development efforts, the country has recently made some extremely significant advancements. “This fully meets the interest of both India and Russia to work on this agenda,” stated Vladimir Putin. “This is a win-win situation.”

Also in the previous month, Vladimir Putin was heard praising Prime Minister Modi, saying that he was doing the “right thing” in pushing the Make in India campaign.

During his speech at the 8th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), the President of Russia stated, “You know, back then we did not have cars that were made in our country, but we do now.” It is true that they appear to be less flashy than automobiles manufactured by Mercedes or Audi, of which we made significant purchases in the 1990s, but this is not a problem. I believe that many of our allies, such as India, should serve as models for us to follow.

They are committed to the production as well as the operation of automobiles that were built in India. In my opinion, Prime Minister Modi is heading in the correct direction by putting so much emphasis on the “Make in India” initiative. He continued by saying that the other man is correct.

There is a strong possibility that Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was on board a private plane that went down in the Tver region, which is located north of Moscow. There are reports that all 10 people have been killed, although the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin has not been confirmed. It would “not be a surprise” if Vladimir Putin was responsible for the disaster, according to a former special adviser to the United States army who spoke with Sky News.

There is a lack of clarity regarding what led to the accident.

“We should not forget that the disappearance or the removal of some of Putin’s enemies over the years have been linked to suspect aircraft crashes,” Mark Voyager stated, citing the death of General Lebed as an example. “We should not forget that the disappearance or the removal of some of Putin’s enemies over the years have been linked to suspicious aircraft crashes.”

In 2002, the governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, General Lebed, was killed in a Mi-8 helicopter accident in the Sayan Mountains. A member of the Russian parliament stated at the time that sabotage may have caused the accident.

“He was running for president at the time, and he was criticising the Chechen War that Putin had started,” Mark Voyager explained, adding that “it would not be surprising if Putin chose a method that allows plausible denial” to eliminate one of his enemies.

People should keep an eye on how rapidly Russia attempts to seize control of Prigozhin’s military empire and financial assets, according to the former US official.

“We’ll know how much the Kremlin and the Putin regime knew and how prepared they were based on their subsequent actions,” he said.

Late in June, Prigozhin led a brief rebellion against the Russian military leadership. The Kremlin then announced that he and some of his combatants would be exiled to Belarus. Since then, however, the mercenary leader has reportedly been spotted in Russia.

According to the Russian civil aviation authorities, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the creator of Russia’s Wagner Group mercenary group, was on the passenger list of a plane that crashed north of Moscow. This information was provided by the Russian government. Yevgeny Prigozhin was once a low-key businessman who benefited from his connections to Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia. However, during Russia’s conflict in Ukraine, he took command of the mercenary force Wagner, which catapulted him into the spotlight of the international community. The following is all the information you require regarding Yevgeny Prigozhin.

The 62-year-old owner of the Kremlin-allied Wagner Group escalated months of scathing criticism of Russia’s conduct of the war by calling for an armed uprising to oust the defense minister of the country.

Russian security services reacted immediately, opening a criminal investigation and urging Prigozhin’s arrest.

Then Prigozhin urged Russians to join his “march to justice” but riot police and the national guard tightened security at key facilities in Moscow, including government agencies and transport infrastructure to stop the mercenary chief.

Prigozhin and Putin go way back. Both were born in Leningrad which is now known as St. Petersburg. During the final years of the Soviet Union, Prigozhin served time in prison.

After that, he owned a hot dog stand and then fancy restaurants that drew interest from Vladimir Putin.

In his first term, the Russian leader took then-French President Jacques Chirac to dine at one of them. “Vladimir Putin saw how I built a business out of a kiosk, he saw that I don’t mind serving to the esteemed guests because they were my guests,” Prigozhin said in an interview in 2011.

His businesses expanded significantly to catering and providing school lunches.

In 2010, Putin helped Prigozhin in opening a factory that was built on generous loans by a state bank. He also organized catering for Kremlin events for several years which earned him the nickname “Putin’s chef”.

Prigozhin’s Wagner Group has come to play a central role in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The media that Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on Friday that Russia has moved its first nuclear weapons to Belarus.

Putin stated at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg that the remaining nuclear weapons would be delivered by the end of summer.

As part of the plan to deploy tactical nuclear bombs in the country bordering Ukraine, Russia proceeds forward with the plan. In response to a query about the use of nuclear weapons in conflict, he stated, “This is a deterrence measure against all those who consider Russia’s strategic defeat.”

The Russian leader’s remarks follow Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko’s claims this week that his country received the initial shipment of “bombs and missiles from Russia,” as refuted by The Hill.

Media that Lukashenko told Russian and Belarusian state media, “We have received missiles and bombs from Russia,” adding, “The bombs are three times more powerful than those dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”

Media reported that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko proclaimed that Russia has begun delivering nuclear weapons to Belarus, including some reportedly three times more powerful than those detonated over Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

This is the first time Russia has transferred tactical nuclear warheads since beginning its invasion of Ukraine last year. The arrival of the weaponry occurs one week after Ukrainian forces launched a massive counteroffensive against Russia. According to media, Lukashenko argues that the weapons will function only as a deterrent.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, commented on what many believe to be the commencement of Ukraine’s highly anticipated counteroffensive by stating that his army lacks sufficient quantities of modern weapons. As Kremlin officials and multiple reports claimed that Ukraine had launched its counteroffensive against Russia, Kyiv officials stated in recent days that offensive assaults do not indicate the beginning of a military campaign.

Vladimir Putin stated at a press conference in Sochi, as reported by the Russian state media outlet RT, “We can say with absolute certainty that the Ukrainian counteroffensive has begun, and the use of strategic reserves is evidence of this.”

Putin “acknowledged that Moscow’s troops are experiencing a shortage of modern weapons and expressed hope that the country’s military industry will soon be able to meet rising demand,” according to the report. However, the Russian leader did not provide any additional details regarding the modern armaments he believes the country lacks.

Due to the massive losses of armored vehicles in Ukraine, his military has reportedly resorted to bringing out old tanks from storage, as previously speculated by experts.

The managing editor of Special Operations Forces Report (SOFREP), Guy McCardle, told Newsweek that “it is out of character for Putin to admit” that Russia lacks modern weapons.

Specifically, they lack main battle tanks and ballistic missiles. The fact that they are employing so many glider explosives today is evidence of this. They still possess cruise missiles, but these are prohibitively expensive, so they cannot fire them at will. This is due to international sanctions affecting the components used to manufacture weapons, he explained.

Tuesday marked the second consecutive day that an explosive device derailed a Russian freight train in a region bordering Ukraine, ahead of an expected counteroffensive by Kiev.

In recent days, Russia and Crimea, which Moscow annexed in 2014, have been the target of multiple assaults.

In the past four days, two trains have been derailed by explosives, a suspected drone has caused a massive fire at an oil depot in Crimea, and power lines have exploded near Saint Petersburg.

The demonstrations occur as Russia prepares to observe May 9, a holiday commemorating the Soviet victory over the Nazis that has become a central event during the presidency of Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine has maintained its customary stance of not claiming responsibility for the attacks, which occurred as Kyiv proclaimed it is finalizing preparations for a spring offensive announced weeks earlier.

Alexander Bogomaz, the governor of the Bryansk region in western Russia, stated on Tuesday that the train was derailed by a “unidentified explosive device.”

He stated that the bomb went off at Snezhetskaya station, outside of Bryansk, a city of approximately 370 thousand inhabitants near the Ukraine and Belarus borders.

“A locomotive and several wagons of the train derailed,” he reported, adding that no one was injured.

On Monday, a similar detonation near Unecha, in the same region but closer to the Ukraine border, caused a train to derail and catch fire.

Throughout its year-long offensive, the Kremlin has attempted to portray Russia as secure while its forces fight in Ukraine.

Tuesday morning, it acknowledged a security threat.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, stated, “Of course, we are aware that the Kiev regime, which is responsible for a number of these attacks — terrorist attacks — intends to continue along this path.”

All of our intelligence services are taking every precaution to ensure national security.

Rail sabotage

Russian Railways also issued a statement stating that the derailment was caused by “unauthorized persons interfering with rail transport operations.”

No mention of an incendiary device was made.

The state operator reported that the incident occurred between Snezhetskaya and the adjacent village of Belye Berega at 7:47 p.m. local time (16:47 GMT).

It was reported that the front locomotive and “around 20 wagons” were derailed, and rail traffic in that section was suspended.

Since Moscow launched its Ukraine offensive, there have been numerous allegations of sabotage on Russian railways, but this week is the first time officials have confirmed attacks.

More than 65 people, including a third of minors, have been detained on charges of railway sabotage in around 20 regions of the country since the fall, according to a tally published in mid-April by the independent media outlet Mediazona.

Ukraine asserts that it has spent months preparing a counteroffensive intended at expelling Russian forces from the territory they currently control in the east and south.

Denmark has announced that it will provide $250 million in military aid to Ukraine in support of the forthcoming Ukrainian offensive.

The package included mine clearing vehicles, ammunition, and financial support for the acquisition of air defense, according to a statement from the Danish defense ministry.

“The equipment is necessary to pave the way for Ukrainian tanks and mechanized infantry on the front line,” said Troels Lund Poulsen, the interim defense minister.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has condemned the nuclear rhetoric of Russian President Vladimir Putin, following his announcement that he would deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

This act represents one of the clearest indications of Russia’s nuclear intentions since the beginning of its invasion of Ukraine over a year ago. In response to the circumstance, Ukraine has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council.

Reuters reported NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu as saying, “Russia’s nuclear rhetoric is dangerous and irresponsible.””The NATO is vigilant and we are monitoring the situation attentively. We have not observed any adjustments in Russia’s nuclear posture that would prompt us to alter ours.”

Putin compared his proposal to station nuclear weapons in Belarus to the US deployment of weapons in Europe and emphasized that Russia would honor its commitments to nuclear non-proliferation during his remarks on Saturday.

While the United States, another global nuclear power, minimized the significance of Putin’s announcement, NATO criticized his non-proliferation pledge and his inaccurate characterization of the United States’ overseas deployment of weapons.

“The Russian reference to NATO’s nuclear sharing is completely deceptive. Lungescu said in a statement that NATO allies adhere strictly to their international obligations. Russia has persistently violated its arms control obligations.

Oleksiy Danilov, a top security adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has stated that Russia’s plan could lead to instability in Belarus, a nation he believes is under Moscow’s control. Lithuania has proclaimed its intention to propose new sanctions against Moscow and Minsk in response to Russia’s proposal.

The additional sanctions will be proposed as part of a larger package of penalties that is currently under discussion in Brussels. This step is significant because it contradicts Russia’s previous position that it would not deploy nuclear weapons outside its borders, as the United States has been accused of doing. This may be the first occasion since the mid-1990s that Russia has deployed nuclear weapons outside of its territory, according to some experts.

Mykhailo Podolyak, a senior adviser to Zelenskiy, ridiculed Putin’s plan on Twitter on Sunday.”He admits to fearing defeat, and all he can do is intimidate with tactics,” Podolyak tweeted.

Putin (RF) is too predictable.
Making a statement about tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, he admits that he is afraid of losing & all he can do is scare with tactics…
Second. He once again states his involvement in the crime. Violating the nuclear non-proliferation treaty…

— Михайло Подоляк (@Podolyak_M) March 26, 2023

Tactical nuclear weapons are those utilized for specific battlefield advantages, as opposed to those with the capacity to destroy cities. It is unknown how many of these weapons Russia possesses, as this area remains enveloped in Cold War secrecy.

A ministry of foreign affairs spokeman told media that Russia’s withdrawal from the ICC treaty in 2016 rendered the International Criminal Court’s arrest order against President Vladimir Putin meaningless.

“Russia is not an ICC member and bears no obligations,” said foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. Russia does not work with this body, so any International Court of Justice arrest would be null and void.

Dmitry Medvedev, a former Russian president and vice chair of Russia’s Security Council, said that the ICC’s arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin was like toilet paper.

“A order to arrest Vladimir Putin has been issued by the International Criminal Court. With the toilet paper emoji, he wrote, “No need to explain WHERE this paper should be used.”

Putin could be arrested for war crimes in Ukraine.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an order for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes, such as taking children from Ukraine. It says that Putin is to blame for the “illegal deportation” and “illegal transfer” of children from parts of Ukraine that are controlled to Russia.

A warrant was also issued for a Russian officer in charge of children’s rights named Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova. She was wanted on the same charges. But the orders can only be carried out with help from other countries, since the ICC does not have its own police force.

Also read this:25 African armies will attend the inaugural India-Africa Chiefs Conclave in Pune.

A trial at the ICC is unlikely because Russia does not recognise the court’s authority and does not send its own people to stand trial there. Even though Ukraine is not a member of the ICC, it has given the court authority over its land. Since starting an investigation a year ago, the ICC prosecutor has been to Ukraine four times.
