Taman Festival

Differing from what the name indicates is the original idea behind Taman Festival as it is an abandoned theme park in Bali which seems like a spooky attraction that churns out spine-chilling nightmares and eerie ambiance

The original idea behind Taman Festival was different from what the name suggests. It is an abandoned theme park in Bali that looks like a scary place that gives people dreams and a creepy atmosphere. It is about four kilometers north of Sanur, but people love taking pictures of this place. The park is spread out over eight hectares and looks like a Disney park. It has the world’s first roller coaster that goes upside down, Bali’s biggest swimming pool, alligators, volcanoes, 3D theaters, and more.

When the Asian economic crisis hit, the park started losing visitors and money, so it had to close in 2000 after thirteen years of amazing shows. Now, the park is all by itself and empty, but it still has hopes of rising from the ashes.

Highlights: The villagers say the crocodiles were left in their pits and the people used to feed them chicken for a while until they started attacking humans as well. Currently, the park only has the remnants of the glorious past embraced by parasites and creepers. Inside the old buildings, there are hordes of bats- when you enter they might get awaken out of disturbance.

Timing: The ghost town is open on all days 24 hours.

Location: No., Jl. Padang Galak No.3, Kesiman, Denpasar Tim., Kota Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
