These five planets will align across the night sky on March 28

Next week, skywatchers will be able to witness a rare alignment of five planets of our solar system in the night sky

Next week, skywatchers will be able to witness a rare alignment of five planets of our solar system in the night sky. According to report, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus, and Mars will align just before the turn of the month on March 28.
When planets coincidentally line up on the same side of the sun, astronomical alignments occur. According to Starwalk, these planets will be visible after sunset within a limited 50-degree sector of the sky.

Jupiter and Mercury will be closer to the horizon, Venus and Uranus will be higher in the sky, and Mars will be visible near the moon, according to the report.

The optimum day for observation will be March 28, but the alignment will be visible in the days before and after, according to the Starwalk report.

Gary Swangir, an astronomer, told the New Jersey Herald that Venus, Mars, and Jupiter will be visible with the unaided eye, whereas Mercury and Uranus may require binoculars or a telescope.

Buzz Aldrin, an Apollo astronaut, recently tweeted, “Don’t forget to look to the sky at the end of the month for the planetary alignment, in which at least five planets — plus the moon — will be visible in a nearly arc-shaped formation as seen from Earth.”
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn aligned in this uncommon order for the first time since December 2004 in June of last year.
