Tunisha Sharma Death Case: Saturday, a court in the Palghar district of Maharashtra’s Vasai city released television actor Sheezan Khan in Tunisha Sharma Death Case, who was detained for allegedly aiding the suicide of co-actor last year.
Ms. Sharma allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on the set of a television series near Valiv, Palghar, on December 24, 2022. The following day, Khan (28) was detained based on a complaint filed by Sharma’s mother. He is presently incarcerated.
Judge R D Deshpande of the Additional Sessions Court ordered that Mr. Khan be released on a 1,000,000 bond.The actor was also ordered to forfeit his passport and prohibited from leaving the country without the court’s permission.
Mr. Khan’s attorney, Sharad Rai, stated that the bail application was based on multiple grounds, including the fact that the chargesheet had already been submitted and the investigation was complete. He also argued that section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) does not apply to this case (abetment to suicide).

Sanjay More, the special public prosecutor, refuted Khan’s claim that he was not in the room when Sharma took her own life.Ms. Sharma and Mr. Khan, who dated but subsequently broke up, co-starred in the television series ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul’ On February 16, the Valiv police lodged a 500-page indictment with the court.
