Udaipur teacher recruitment paper: According to officials, the Rajasthan Police arrested Bhupendra Saran on Thursday for allegedly being one of the primary suspects in the government teacher recruitment exam question paper leak case.
Thursday, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police issued a statement saying that Saran, who had been wanted for two months since the paper was leaked in December of last year, was detained at the Bengaluru airport.
The ATS and SOG stated in a statement that their teams and the Jodhpur rural police had been camping in Bengaluru for the past six days, and that they had received intelligence about Saran’s movements on Wednesday afternoon, which led to his arrest at the airport on Thursday.
After receiving severe criticism from the opposition over question paper leaks, the Rajasthan government demolished a coaching centre in Jaipur that Saran and Suresh Dhaka, another alleged mastermind behind the paper leak, conducted last month.According to officials, Saran was sought by the Udaipur police.As the paper breach case was filed in Udaipur, Saran was turned over to the Udaipur police.
The paper release resulted in multiple demonstrations by the opposition and organisations representing unemployed youth.In December of the previous year, a total of 55 individuals, including 37 candidates, were arrested in connection with the release of Grade-2 teacher recruitment papers.
The Udaipur Police had intercepted a bus carrying candidates to an examination. They were all detained after a search revealed question papers on their person.Bhupendra Saran and Suresh Dhaka have been identified as the primary individuals responsible for the paper breach.

In a previous action against the paper leak gang, the enforcement division of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) demolished Saran’s illegally constructed home.
