He stated that the “inhuman act” revealed the true face of BJP’s animosity towards tribals and Dalits. A video of a man, purportedly a local BJP leader from Madhya Pradesh, urinating on a tribal person in the state’s Sidhi district recently went viral on social media, resulting in multiple calls for his arrest.
He was apprehended on Wednesday after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued an arrest warrant for the suspect, later identified as Pravesh Shukla.
“The number of atrocities committed against tribal brothers and sisters is rising under BJP rule. “The inhuman crime of a BJP leader in Madhya Pradesh has shamed the entire human race,” Gandhi tweeted in Hindi on Wednesday. ”

He said, “This is the disgusting face and true nature of the BJP’s hatred for tribals and Dalits.”
MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra stated that the man’s actions were “heinous, abhorrent, and a stain on humanity.” When asked about Congress’ demand for “bulldozer action” against the accused, Mishra, who is also the state government’s spokesman, told PTI, “Bulldozer action is not taken on Congress’ demand…bulldozer is only used when there is an encroachment.” Earlier in the day, Mishra informed reporters that the accused had been apprehended, referring to a “bulldozer” operation without naming any specific individuals.
The term gained popularity after the government of Uttar Pradesh, lead by Yogi Adityanath, bulldozed several properties belonging to alleged criminals.

An official from the Office of the Chief Minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh announced on Tuesday that a case had been filed against Shukla under Indian Penal Code sections 294 (obscene acts), 504 (intentional insult to provoke disruption of peace), and provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
He added that the strict National Security Act was also invoked against him.
