Virat Kohli is the most followed cricketer on Instagram with 256 million followers. Former India captain MS Dhoni, who is second on the list with 44.9 million followers, trails him by a wide margin. According to the Hopper Instagram Rich List 2023, Kohli charged a staggering amount of INR 14 crore per sponsored Instagram post.
No other Indian earned more from Instagram during the period than the legendary batter. On the list topped by football legend Cristiano Ronaldo and followed by World Cup champion Lionel Messi, Kohli was ranked fourteenth.
According to the report, the erstwhile Royal Challenger Bangalore captain charged a staggering USD 1.38 million for an Instagram post. According to Hopper HQ, the amount translates to INR 21.49 crore per position in Indian currency. He is the only Indian on the list of the top 20 Instagram earners.
