Raghav Chadha, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), pointed his gun at the Centre and inquired whether the government is also planning a constitutional amendment that would convert any state governed by a non-BJP government into a centrally administered territory. The Union government issued an ordinance on Friday to “overrule” the Supreme Court order that gave the Delhi government administrative authority over the LG. In accordance with the Centre’s ordinance, the LG has sole discretion over matters pertaining to the transfer and posting of administrators.
What’s next? A constitutional amendment mandating that any state that elects a non-BJP government will have its legislature abolished and become a centrally administered territory?” Raghav Chadha sent a tweet.
What next?!
A constitutional amendment that any state that votes into power a non-BJP government will be stripped of its legislature and transformed into a centrally administered territory?

The ordinance is not only a court defiance, but also an electoral contempt. Raghav Chadha tweeted that it violates federalism, constitutional powers granted to elected governments, and the principle of civil service accountability to ministers.

The Centre petitioned the Supreme Court on Saturday for a review of the earlier ruling that granted the government administrative powers. However, prior to that, the ordinance already challenged the verdict. The AAP announced that it will petition the Supreme Court to overturn the ordinance.
The ordinance will also be opposed in Congress, according to the AAP.
The ordinance was introduced to amend the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991, and it evades the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Centre v. Delhi case. In the ordinance, the Centre has established National Capital Civil Service Authority, a distinct service commission for Delhi.
