YS Telangana Party president YS Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Thursday bought a pair of shoes for Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and issued a challenge to walk with her for a day to understand the plight of the people. Sharmila is on the final leg of her Praja Prasthanam padyatra.
“Today, I am challenging the Chief Minister to walk with us for a full day, and if he can demonstrate that everyone in the state is content and has no problems for him to solve, I will resign from politics. YS Sharmila stated, “If the farmers are indeed struggling with poverty and there are problems, then KCR should resign and appoint a Dalit as chief minister, as he promised.”

In November, Sharmila was attacked by members of the Bharat Rashtra Samiti and was forced to cancel her padayatra. In the tense situation, Sharmila was detained twice.
