On Sunday, delegates from fourteen countries arrived in Agartala to attend the two-day G20 summit beginning on April 3 with the theme “Clean Energy for a Greener Future”
On Sunday at 2:00 p.m., the delegates and approximately 90 senior officials arrived at the Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) international airport in Agartala. They were then settled into the Hotel Polo Towers in Agartala.
On their trip, the delegates will likely visit the historic Albert Ekka Park and the Kumari Tilla light and sound display near the G B Pant Hospital in Agartala.
Tomorrow, the delegates will attend the summit.
The delegates will also meet with the chief minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha. Tomorrow, the summit will be held at the Hapania International Fair Ground in Agartala.
The state is making extensive preparations for the event, and the Hapania indoor exhibition hall has been outfitted with dozens of decorated booths.
Various districts of the state display their products at stalls. The state has donned an enlightened ensemble of pigments and ornamental materials.
Santana Chakma, Minister of Industries and Commerce, visited the exhibition hall to inspect ongoing preparations and stated that Tripura is well-prepared to greet international and domestic delegates.
Notably, this is the first time in Tripura that a conference of this magnitude will be conducted.
Manik Saha, the chief minister of Tripura, also addressed the readiness and prestige of hosting the G20 summit.
The delegates will visit all of the state’s historical and alluring sites, such as Ujjayanta palace and Nirmahal.
“Yesterday, I met with the heads of all relevant ministries and offices to assess their readiness for the program, and I learned that everyone is ready to host the summit and avidly awaiting its occurrence. It should be a wonderful source of encouragement and inspiration for the state of Tripura, as the entire world will come to see Tripura’s beautiful and alluring historical sites,” said the state’s chief minister.

“Tripura is well-prepared to host delegates from Europe and other countries at the impending G20 summit, which is scheduled to take place on the 3rd and 4th. This is great news for the people of Tripura, as an event of this magnitude and international caliber will be conducted in the state for the very first time,” the chief minister added.
