AAP MLAs Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj as ministers in Delhi Cabinet: President Droupadi Murmu appointed AAp MLAs Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj as ministers in the Delhi cabinet on the advice of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, effective upon their oath of office, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced on Tuesday.Arvind Kejriwal had transmitted the names to the Lieutenant Governor for consideration as Cabinet appointments.
On Tuesday, the President accepted the resignations of AAP ministers Manish Sisodia and Satinder Jain. This development occurred as a result.Atishi is an integral component of Manish Sisodia’s education team and represents the Kalkaji constituency. She also ran in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the East Delhi constituency, but lost to Gautam Gambhir of the BJP.
The national spokesperson for the party, Saurabh Bhardwaj, served as vice chairman of the Delhi Jal Board. During the first term of the AAP government, the lawmaker from Greater Kailash served as a minister.The Delhi council of ministers now consists of five members, including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who holds no portfolios.
After his detention in the alleged excise policy scam, Sisodia resigned from all 18 positions he held.Last year, following the apprehension of former Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain, seven of his portfolios were transferred to Sisodia, who was in charge of 18 departments when Jain was arrested.
