After eight long years, the divorce agreement between Hollywood icon Halle Berry and her ex-husband Olivier Martinez has been finalised. Page Six reports that the Los Angeles Superior Court has ordered Berry to pay Martinez $8,000 per month as child support for their 9-year-old son, Maceo.
Berry has been ordered to pay for her son’s “private school tuition, school uniforms, and school supplies,” but the payments will be made directly to the school rather than to Martinez. In addition, Berry will be responsible for her son’s health insurance premiums and all uninsured medical costs, including therapy.
In addition, Berry is required to pay 4,3 percent of any income exceeding $2 million as “additional child support” for Maceo.
Berry has expressed a willingness to contribute $55,000 towards Martinez’s legal expenditures.
Berry and Martinez will share physical custody of their son for half the week, Monday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Friday, with alternating weekends. In addition, the couple has concurred upon a plan for the same.
Notably, Berry and Martinez applied for divorce in October 2015, but the proceedings were drawn out due to their unresolved child custody matters.
Berry and Martinez’s marriage and subsequent split
The wedding took place in July 2013. Following their 2015 separation, they issued a joint statement that read, “It is with a sorrowful heart that we have decided to divorce.
