Amit Shah suggests avoiding politicizing new Parliament launch row.

Recent announcements from 19 opposition parties indicate that they will not attend the inauguration of the new Parliament building.

Wednesday, Union interior minister Amit Shah cautioned against ‘politicizing’ the inauguration of the new Parliament building, describing it as a ’emotional’ process connecting the new India with its ancient traditions.

Shah stated at a press conference, “We should not politicize this (inauguration of the new Parliament building) issue; let people think and react as they wish.”

His remarks came after 19 opposition parties issued a joint statement boycotting the inauguration ceremony on the grounds that the President, not the Prime Minister, should inaugurate the new structure.
