Amul milk price increases by ₹3 | Check details

Gujarat dairy co-operative Amul has announced a hike of up to Rs 3 per litre on fresh milk effective from today.

Amul, has declared that fresh milk prices will increase by up to Rs 3 per litre as of right now. Amul Gold would now cost Rs. 66 per litre following this change.

Amul stated in a statement on Thursday that the cost of Amul Taaza would increase to Rs 54 per litre, Amul cow milk to Rs 56 per litre, and Amul A2 buffalo milk to Rs 70 per litre.

The most recent price hike for the Gold, Taaza, and Shakti milk brands by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells its dairy products under the Amul name, occurred in October.

The marketing federation released a statement saying, “We would like to tell you that the price of Amul pouch milk (all variations) has been amended upwards effective from February 3.”

The price rise was implemented as a result of rising operating and milk production costs. According to Amul, the cost of feeding cattle alone has grown by about 20%.
