Tuesday, Union minister Nitin Gadkari proposed a novel plan to reduce the price of petrol to Rs 15 per liter, Gadkari, speaking at a gathering in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, advocated the combination of ethanol and electricity to reduce the price of fuels. The minister of Road Transport and Highways of the Union stated that a mixture of 60% ethanol and 40% electricity could significantly reduce the price of gasoline.

Gadkari also emphasized that the government intends to transform farmers into both “annadata” and “urjadata” as part of its plan to empower the nation’s farmers.
Gadkari was in Rajasthan to inaugurate and begin construction on eleven national highway projects in Pratapgarh totaling 5600 crore. Four national highway projects totaling 219 kilometers and costing 3,775 crore were inaugurated.
